An Answer

Last Friday was a morning to receive a site and be cleared off all worries. Then to call TN One Call placed a thick stopper in the site and structure teams.

So this week was all about organizing and placing/cutting together the necessary components to detail our jobs. A sad note: Julle and friends from Finland, a group of lighting designers/engineers, were bring the luminaries, which were canceled by their partnered luminaries company, and now are coming empty handed with a group of students ready to help.

We understand by the complexities of this timetable and expenses by a company for this type of project in a redeveloping world economy.

Our racking girls are making great motions toward the assembly of the roof supports for the solar panels. The facade team is starting to frame the LVLs and stain them. They look beautiful.

We are becoming efficient at making use of our time when we have to wait on answers. Continuing to talk about problems and find solutions efficiently is the target of our tasks.

The interior team is working on finalizing their design. Faete is back today and drawing all of his connections for our main electrical plan.

Moving out to the site. Fun times cause we packing some heat.

Finally a new entry is posted πŸ™‚
I am so excited about the house is moved to its proper place.

Today Kristen and I worked on drilling the metals. We were still trying to find the most efficient and precise way to do our job. Although this job is not tiring, I have some frustrations. First, we couldn’t do faster than we have done in drilling because it takes time to move the long metal back and forth, while the drill holes are not at the same line. To place the drill bit precisely also takes time. I know we have to do it precisely, but if we spend much time for one hole, we won’t finish it by the end of July πŸ™‚ Second, although we (Kristen do harder part) have tried to drill according to the drawing, our human nature allows us to make a mistake. A 1/16″ off could make a problem. We tried to screw both metal (they are sandwiched), but some holes are not line up.

I think we’ve discussed briefly about the solution this noon. Hopefully this Monday we’ll do better.

p.s: Monday will be my last day, but I’ll keep checking this blog.

    Keep up the good work!
