Get Up and Out

Starting in full motion, we make our last ramp/deck measurements before the walls go up. The facade team started assembling the beautifully sealed LVL (laminated veneer lumber) frames. The roof/racking team connects the angles as they precisely drill for the PV (photovoltaics) system.

So the structure team pulled a long day to roof and vapor rap the structure. They are ready to join the facade team. The site team Iis working out the fab details to the handicap ramp/stairs.

I think we (roof-drilling team) has found better way to drill the aluminum precisely. We clamped 2 pieces together so the holes are lining up. Since the clamped beam is heavy, it would be great if this team got more people (preferably the muscular one 🙂 ). The main concern is the connector between four aluminums doesn’t hold the pieces securely.
Thanks to Jeff the shop guy who told us the smarter way to finish this job. He helped us a lot yesterday.

    Good luck!

Finally the cad drawings are finished for the decking! YAY! I get to see sunlight again! Kinda! Today I finalized the drawings to be sent off the the fabricator of our guard/hand rail system for the deck. Then I helped Kristin with the measuring and assembly of the aluminum! Perfection is key… 1/124242 th off and you are screwed… literally because we had to use a screwdriver to get the bolts in the holes. HAH! Tomorrow we will finish the bolting and then move onto the next task… building the ramp. We need to fabricate a couple drawings so that we know what we need to cut and how many of each item. Also we will need some connection details drawn so that we can begin fabrication. WHOOO! Go team Zero… Energy!
